Be An Angel Therapy Dogs Ministry is partnering with the Orange County Library System with the “Paws to Read” Program. Our dog/handler teams go to several locations and sit with children who are lacking in confidence to read aloud in class by having them read a book to a very special recipient, a dog.  The kids love it!  They can lay on the floor and show the dog pictures while they read, or sit beside the dog and pet and rub the dog’s tummy while they read.  Parents often times are sitting with us while the child reads.  Of course, we have other children who read perfectly fine that want to read to the dogs also.  This program is fun and gives us great satisfaction.
